With music by Jacinto Guerrero and a libretto by José Ramos Martín, this zarzuela tells the story of Juan, a wealthy man who returns to his village from the Americas with the intention of marrying young Rosaura, the daughter of his former love. His wish sparks conflicts and emotions in a rural setting steeped in traditions and contradictions. *Los Gavilanes* stands out for its heartfelt story and its brilliant musical composition.
