ENTRADA GENERAL 1 DÍA - Las fuentes del Algar

The Fonts d’Algar, located just 15 km from Benidorm and 3 km from the urban center of Callosa d’en Sarrià in the direction of Bolulla, constitute a natural area with a high degree of ecological richness and equipped with tourist and environmental education services. This space was declared a protected Wetland Area by decision of the Valencian Government on September 10, 2002. The visit includes a 1.5 km circuit along the course of the Algar River ("cave" in Arabic), to observe the landscape shaped by the karstic modeling of limestone: the spectacular waterfalls, numerous springs emerging from the rocks, and the "tolls" (water pools) where refreshing baths can be taken in pure and crystalline waters.
